2013 Angora Goat Kids
Our Angora goats are registered with AAGBA or CAGBA.
We have Colored Angoras from both the agouti-recessive and dominant-red/black/brown color pools.
Melee (L) gave me a brown doeling with blue eyes and a brown buckling with brown eyes. Sire is Cochise, 2011 CAGBA National Champion buck.
Both have those mottled ears which are so cute. The doeling is a duplicate of Melee's doeling from last year that we retained. She is a beauty and these two have every indication of having the same qualtiy.
Melee's dam is Sapphire and her sire is Whappo. Dominant

First kids of the year out of Glow (2011 CAGBA National doe) and Antonio (2012 OFFF Grand Champion Colored Buck). The little one in back is a buckling and the bold doeling is in front. These twins were born on New Year's day. Recessive.
Sparkle is a color carrier who is the dam to Hattie, OFFF Reserve Champion pinto doe. Sparkle gave me another pinto doe kid this year. she is out of our AAGBA white line and
Recessive. Picture of doeling at 2 weeks old.
Below is my experiment breeding that worked. Buckling on the right is recessive and I expect him to end up being a tri-colored peacock like his sire, Antonio. The twin on the left is a dominant dark brown like his dam, Keysi.
Right are Ivy's girls out of Chogan. Dominant
(R) Our first AAGBA white kids of the year. Dam is Shasta and sire is Moby. The doeling was 9 pounds 7 oz and the buckling was a whopping 10 pounds!
(R) The dam of this doeling is Mona Lisa, a red/brown doe (Dominant). Sire is Cochise, 2011 CAGBA National Champion Buck who is also a red/brown (Dominant).
Have you heard that two reds can't produce a black? They can and if they do, the off-spring will be RECESSIVE. This doeling is black with red/brown reverse badger markings.
Orchid had a single brown doeling sired by Cochise, CAGBA 2011 National Champion. Shown (L) in the dog house with Mona Lisa's little girl. This is a Poppy Granddaughter.
Umbria shown asleep with her little doeling tucked under her. Doeling un-tucked right. Sire is Cochise.
ABOVE - Fedora and her little mantled recessive buckling are both quite photogenic! Sire is Antonio, 2012 OFFF Champion Buck. Fedora's dam is Hattie, OFFF Res Champion pinto doe.
We want not just splashy color on our recessives but also the show qualities that our herd is known for and this little boy should have all those qualities.
Neesha's buckling above. He is a reverse badger out of Torch; a pure deep black recessive buck. We didn't keep Torch because of his personality so will watch this boy carefully to make sure he doesn't have his sire's fear of humans. You can see his pretty blue eyes he gets from Neesha. Neesha was 2011 Grand Champion Colored Doe at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival.
We've decided to keep our recessives flashy and our dominants primarily red/brown so even our exceptional quality black kids are for sale.
Right is Hattie, a recessive pinto doe. Dam is Sparkle (above) and sire is Dillon, a deeply colored reverse badger buck.
Far left are Hattie's twins from this year.
Below right is a picture of Hattie with her adult daughter, Fedora. Hattie is a Black Sheep Gathering reserve champion doe. Because we have all of Hattie's female off-spring and an adult son of hers (Fedora's twin brother) we are willing to offer Hattie for sale. Hattie is $700.
We can sell Hattie in a breeding group. See details at this link:

Sparkler at 2 days old
Pecan with her twin boys out of Cochise, CAGBA National Champion buck. (Above with brown buckling and below both boys. Red boy has her blue eyes.) Our does are crutched and faced clipped prior to kidding.
Kaleidoscope gave us twin toys her first kidding. Both have her blue eyes. These boys are out of Torch who was a non-fading deep black buck with silky, soft and fine fleece. Recessive.
(Kaleidoscope, like all our does ready to kid, are not only crutched but also have their faced clipped for a cleaner birthing process.)
The buckling on the right is a black with a white star. the buckling on the left is a tri-colored (red/black/white) reverse badger.
Tierra is an older AAGBA doe who has always twinned before. This year she had a single 9 pound 13 oz. buckling. Moby is the sire. This picture is when the buckling is 3 days old.
He is the same size now as Kaleidoscope's boys who are 3 weeks older.
Right and below right are pictures of Tierra's boy with our new little doeling from a first time AAGBA mom. The buckling is 4 days old here and she is 1 day old. He was 9# 13 oz at birth and she was 4# 4 oz.
She is one cute thing!
Buck kids are $450
and doelings are $500-$600 unless otherwise noted.
